Apprenticeship Information Hub

Successful participation in the AGC Apprenticeship requires your full commitment. As an apprentice, you are sponsored in the program by your employer. Attendance per the following schedule is mandatory.

Class syllabus will be posted below – please share this syllabus with your foreman, and anyone who is involved in your scheduling.  The commitment to this training is from the highest level of your employer. Please contact the appropriate level in your company or reach out to us if you are ever directed to miss a class or if a supervisor does not accommodate your being present as scheduled.

The AGC Apprenticeship program is a hybrid program using NCCER curriculum. NCCER is an independent, industry-recognized, nationally accredited certifying organization. NCCER provides AGC Apprentices with national testing, national skills performance documentation, and a national certification transcript. The transcript grows as skills are attained. The transcript is shared with employers.

The AGC Apprenticeship utilizes several learning management systems (LMS’s) to facilitate a comprehensive learning experience. Apprentices must attend the scheduled online session as scheduled below. These lectures, discussion sessions, hands-on training, and performance evaluations are not repeatable. The hybrid learning experience allows for a very flexible schedule for the additional study, assignments and research required outside of the mandatory schedule. For the required additional online exercises, Apprentices can complete them at their own pace. This learning is completed at the time of day and in the place that works best for them.

Zooming and face-to-face are the primary methods of interacting with the instructor. During the session there are four (4) FOCUS WEEKS of mandatory class. During each Focus Week, there will typically be three Zoom classes, followed by an in-person day on the appropriate campus.  Zoom training is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
