One of the major issues facing our industry today is a shortage of skilled workers. Workforce development must be a priority for all employers in the construction industry or the problem will only get worse. To that end, the Inland Northwest AGC is pleased to offer Open Shop Apprenticeship Programs for its members: Carpenters, Laborers & Heavy Equipment Operators.

Carpenter Apprentices will complete 160 of classroom training per year in everything from blueprint reading to building layout to finish work. Carpenter Apprentices must complete 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. All three programs provide apprentices with comprehensive safety training.

Laborer Apprentices will complete 160 of classroom training per year where they will be taught the necessary skills to become a valued and highly skilled member of the workforce. Laborer Apprentices must complete 6,000 hours of on-the-job training. All three programs provide apprentices with comprehensive safety training.

This program provides both hands-on and classroom training in all aspects of equipment operation, maintenance and safety. Students are required to complete 160 hours per year of related supplemental instruction and 6,000 work hours before graduating the program as a journey-level operator. All three programs provide apprentices with comprehensive safety training.
